Blurb-
Fairytales aren’t real…yeah…that’s exactly what Bianca thought. She was wrong.
For generations, the Frost family has run the Museum of Magical and Rare Artifacts, handing down guardianship from mother to daughter, always keeping their secrets to “family only.”
Gathered within museum’s walls is a collection dedicated to the Grimm fairy tales and to the rare items the family has acquired: Cinderella’s glass slipper, Snow White’s poisoned apple, the evil queen’s magic mirror, Sleeping Beauty’s enchanted spinning wheel…
Seventeen-year-old Bianca Frost wants none of it, dreaming instead of a career in art or photography or…well, anything except working in the family’s museum. She knows the items in the glass display cases are fakes because, of course, magic doesn’t really exist.
She’s about to find out how wrong she is.

Magical Items/ Working in the Museum
What are some of your favorite fairy tales?
What magical item would you like to use and what would you use it for?
There are TONS of items in the Museum of
Magical and Rare Artifact, some that are on display and some that are hidden
within the museum walls.
Here are some of the items that are used in
First Frost & Glass Frost as well as some of their magical properties.
1. Brick from The Third Little Pigs house (from
the fairy tale The Three Little Pigs). This brick has the power to become an
indestructible house. Nothing will be able to get inside or outside. All Bianca
has to do to ‘activate’ the house is put the brick down and say ‘Not by the
hair on my chiny chin chin’.
2. Rapunzel’s hair. It is a long braid of
golden hair that is approximately seven feet long. By chanting a spell the hair
grows up to four times in length. Bianca uses this in First Frost in order to
climb down the edge of a cliff. It’s her least favorite part in that particular
adventure. LOL
3. Little Red Riding Hood’s cape. This has the
power tell you which is the safest path
to take in order to reach your destination. Bianca uses this item in First
Frost and Glass Frost. She’s still learning just how much this particular item
can do and I have plans on using it on the third book of the series.
4. The Little Hand Mirror. This was an item
that once belonged to Queen Mirabel (Snow White’s stepmother) it can show you
anything you wish to see. Bianca used this in First Frost and trapped the
wicked witch Lenore inside of it.
5. Apple seeds. Snow White took apple seeds to
encapsulate some of her blood, protective spells and other enchantments in
order to use them in a hurry. One of the dwarves gives them to her when she
visits their cottage in Glass Frost. The catch is that whenever you use one of
the seeds you lose an hour of your life. Magic comes at a price.
6. The Magic Mirror. This item makes a special
appearance in First Frost but I still haven’t figured out if I’m going to use
it in book #3. This mirror is very old and Queen Mirabel was but one of its
many owners.
7. Mismatched teacup and saucer. This is part
of the Alice in Wonderland display case in the Museum of Magical and Rare
Artifacts. I’m still trying to figure out what exactly these items will do. I’m
sure it’ll be awesome. :D
8. Cinderella’s Glass Slipper. Bianca and Rose
are owners of one of Cinderella’s glass slippers. They were separated when
Helena aka Cinderella passed away, because together the slippers have the power
to grant your heart's desire. And in the wrong hands the slippers can cause an
incredible amount of destruction.
There are tons of other items in the Museum of
Magical and Rare Artifacts but I can’t give it all away. Need to save some
surprises for later in the series. ;)
