Blurb: The essence of who we are lies not in what we have, but in what we are willing to give up.  Because in the end, Time and Tide wait for no one.
After sacrificing all that she had, the evil princess of the Underworld is still successful in her bid to tear Finn from Stasia’s life.  In the midst of her search to reclaim him, Stasia is summoned to the island nation of Cyprus to take part in an age-old ritual; unveiling the missing pieces of her ancestry and re-igniting an ancient war.  As she struggles to both save Finn’s soul and free Carmen’s mind, Stasia’s bravery and determination will be pushed to its breaking point.  A dark storm is forming on the horizon, and the forces who are vying to destroy her may be much closer than she thinks.  Destiny weaves a sticky web of evil, betrayal, and revenge that can only be undone by the purity of love and the soul’s unyielding will to survive.  In the last installment of the Daughters of the Sea trilogy, the past will collide with the present as Stasia’s future hangs in the balance.  The prophecy that paved the way for her new life may indeed be the very thing that strips her of the ones she loves the most.

About The Author:

I am a southern belle at heart with a crazy streak that desperately tries to escape at every opportunity. I love all things nostalgic, rustic, and quirky. I've been told I see the world through rose-colored glasses, but I prefer to think of them as kaleidoscope glasses - swirling and morphing reality into something I can digest (who hasn't pretended those pasty lima beans were really kiwi strawberry jelly beans?).
I am the author of the DAUGHTERS OF THE SEA trilogy, which includes FORSAKEN, AWAKEN, and CHOSEN (Winter 2012). I love all books, but really enjoy writing young adult, paranormal romances. I've loved to write for as long as I can remember. My first published work was my poem RED in second grade (you guessed it - it was a poem about the color red - life altering, I know) that won me 5 gold stars and a spot in my elementary school's poetry book. That's when my addiction to the written word officially began. I was the only kid in fifth grade that actually enjoyed diagramming sentences. Go ahead and laugh – it’s okay.
When I'm not writing I'm making jewelry, painting, drinking sweet tea, watching the discovery channel, or going on random adventures in the mountains of North Carolina with my amazing husband. I graduated from Appalachian State University and dream of becoming a full time novelist.

Chosen begins right where book 2 leaves off. Once again we are instantly drawn into a mesmerizing tale full of emotions. Kristen flawlessly pulls you into the next book time and time again. It's a mesmerizing series filled with mythology and lore. What a wonderful romance! If you haven't read this series and like mythology your missing out!

I love Finn! How could I not when he says things like, "she possesses every quality required of a leader in our world and more. Qualities you have never and will never possess - purity, strength, grace, and most importantly humility." He's got a humorous side too and its awesome! The roller coaster ride their romance goes on throughout this series in a short amount of time is amazing!

Just wow! What a perfect way to wrap everything up. Kristen certainly can end a book!

Wow! I feel like I've been whammied. Ok in a good way but Wow! Book 2 picks up just after book 1 ends. Things are a little hotter with Finn in this one. And we learn about all sorts of new, exciting, thrilling things as the story continues just before Fall Break. What can say without giving you spoilers? READ THIS SERIES if your a fan of mythology and YA sweet romances! It's awesome! Okay, so I'm not a huge fan of YA since it's no secret I like my adults or NA best but even I love this series! Just know I had to start book 3 as soon as I was finished with book 2. I couldn't wait to find out what happened after the way book 2 ended. *giggles* If you liked book 1 buy 2 and 3 together. Your not going to want to wait either!

*Half Star *disclaimer

I rate it a 4.5 here but on review sites. I like to round up versus down so you'll see my reviews as 5 stars on those.  Here I get the liberty to use half stars while on those I don't.

This story is perfectly paced! I never had a moment where I wasn't completely wrapped up in the story and there's not really any naughty bits! There are a few really sweet ones!  Yes I'm shocked to be so wrapped up in a YA series but I am. I love Hannah/Anastasia and Finn! It's a beautiful magical fairytale that is full of twists, mystery, romance, and action. And it's just the first book so far! I'm pretty picky about the YA books I read. Let alone the ones I agree to schedule a review or be part of a tour. I was certainly not disappointed by this series.

Hannah/Anastasia is a strong heroine and her past is filled with mystery and darkness. If only her real parents were around. Well we find out why towards the end of Forsaken. Her adoptive mother doesn't seem to even like her and after given a chance to send her to a special boarding school she jumps at the chance to send her. Once at the school everything starts to unfold as she learns bits and pieces about herself and falls for a boy all her new friends told her to stay away from.

Finn. Is he a bad boy or not? Her friends think he is but from what she see's she just isn't sure. As she follows her heart to find out for herself things aren't so clear. He's only part of the mystery that surrounds Hannah/Anastasia. I can't wait to read the next books. Wait I don't have to wait because next week I review the next two books. So make sure you come back and check those out too.
