Wow, this story is a real combustion of emotions! Geez, let me catch my breath and get my emotions under control. We have romantic tragedy that ends in a HAE; Korinne lost her husband from a fatal car accident. Just trying to get through her days and nights her college love enters the story. From there it’s a whirlwind. Korinne tries to pick up the pieces of what’s left of her life but can’t help feeling guilty having feelings for her college love, Galen.  Our love story begins and blooms, but of course things don’t go smoothly. Just when I thought it was going to end we get taken down another path with another twist. L.P. does wrap up this tearjerker so beautifully I had tears rolling out of the corners of my eyes! Holy, crap! If you want an emotion packed read you simply MUST pick up this book!    

I really like Korinne. She didn’t just jump but she didn’t completely shy away either. Even when it was hard she knew she had to finish accepting her grief to really be able to move on.

Galen is the sweetest sexiest man alive to me at the moment. He has a carefree romantic side that’s not afraid to go for it but has a brain to make plans and see them to life.  He brought out a side of Korrine that I didn’t expect and love.

The best part is this book is a on the high side of a spicy read. Keep an eye out for my favorite scene that happens to take place in a car.  ; )  I'll have to find the time to read L.P.'s other books!

I am an avid reader that loves my collection of books. Writing has always been a passion of mine and now I am glad that I get to share my passion with the world. I live in North Carolina and I absolutely love being a southern girl. I spent several years in college starting out with a major in Psychology and then switching to dental. I worked in the dental field for eight years and then decided to stay home with my two beautiful girls. I spent the beginning of my reading years reading suspense thrillers, but now I can't get away from the paranormal/fantasy books. With each determined step, I made my way over to the man that was beginning to steal my heart … again. Fear and desire coincided within me, but I couldn’t stop. I knew I shouldn’t let him in, but I couldn’t deny the way my heart was beating for this man. It was as if all of my desires, all of the pent up emotions and feelings in my body had me desperate for this man’s touch, Galen’s touch. The man I fell in love with years ago.  I threw the pillow off to the side and jumped out of bed. The small nap that Nathan had forced me to take had done wonders and I was feeling good as new; that was if you didn’t count the headache quickly forming from Paige’s warm-up music. I walked past the handsome hunk of mine and opened the bedroom door wide. I exited the room without explanation. Nathan didn’t complain, just poked his head around the jam, watching my retreat. I stopped in front of the entryway of the room right next door to ours and began to pound my fist hard against it. When my knock received no answer, I brought my fist up and pounded again. This time, the door flew open, revealing an irate she-wolf. Her body was covered in sweat, a large round stain forming from the neck of her wife beater and expanding out and down in between a pair of firmly rounded breasts. She brought her arm up, her hands adorned with boxing gloves, and wiped the sweat from her hairline.

“What the fuck is it?” Paige spat, the rims of her eyes opening wide when she recognized which wolf was at her door. She looked at me with such rage in her eyes that I thought I would spontaneously combust into flames where I stood. I had to stop myself from going pale faced. I willed that from happening with all my might. I wasn’t going to allow this Alpha wolf to have domination over me. I was way too pissed off for that.

“Show the rest of the house some common courtesy by turning that god-awful music of yours down,” I growled.

Paige jerked her chin up and crossed her arms. “And if I don’t?”

Well hell. That was a good question. What could I do if she decided to slam the door right in my face?

“The music is extremely loud, Paige. How about giving us all a break?” Nathan said from behind me.

I hadn’t heard him walk up. I whipped around shoving my finger at him. I was acting like a crazy person. I knew that. However, for some reason I didn’t give two shits about it.

“I have this handled.” I said with a low growl.

“Hi, Nathan.” Paige purred over me. “I will turn the volume down right away.” She pinned him with a smoldering look, a look that made my fingers tingle in want of ripping those green peepers out of their damn sockets.

“But, only because you asked so nicely,” she added before slamming the door in my face.

Hello everyone, and thank you Brenda for having me here today! I decided to talk a little about Maeve today, as no one ever wants to talk about her. In my world, the world of Opposites, to be gay or lesbian is the norm. Since part of the story in this world is what happens when someone pushes those limits, there are all forms of relationships squeezed in there. M/M M/F and F/F. I will readily admit that the F/F scenes were the hardest part to write.

What I loved most about Maeve was her fierceness. She is going to stand beside Aiya regardless. Even when Aiya falls in love with a man, Maeve never wavers. Since I decided to give page time to a few of the gay couples as well as the straight couple, I couldn’t very well not give Maeve some time. So the character of Autumn was created. Maeve has a thing for red so Autumns red hair, green eyes and pale skin captivate her attention from the start. There is more to the maid than meets the eye though, but that secret is only shared when you read the book!

Just never forget that Maeve is a fierce warrior, who just happens to like girls. If you mess with her family, friends or Aiya she can and will kick your ass! Her weapon of choice is a 12 foot chain with a steel ball attached to the end, and goddamn she knows how to twirl it.

Naughty Bit:

Autumn stood unbuttoning her dress and dropped it to the floor, swiftly stepping out of it and into the tub. She slowly lowered herself into the water as Maeve moved closer to her, grabbing her legs by the thighs, pulling her onto her lap and wrapping them back around behind her. Maeve ran her fingers up Autumn's spine, to the base of her neck, then twined them through her hair. She fisted a handful and gently jerked Autumns head back, the electricity between the women was intensifying now and Maeve hungrily brought her mouth down on Autumns devouring a long, slow kiss.

Pulling back, she gently tugged at Autumn's bottom lip, then touched her nose to hers.

She reached up and fingered Autumns hair again then moved it behind and off her shoulder, slowly lowering her mouth to her neck. Autumn closed her eyes and a soft moan escaped her lips, Maeve slowly moved up her neck leaving soft kisses in her wake making her way to her ear. She flicked her tongue out and over Autumns ear then inside as she gasped and tensed in her lap, Maeve could feel the heat coming off her body as Autumn began to grind against her stomach. She ran her fingers up twining through her hair then grabbed a handful and gently jerked Autumns head back, the electricity between the women was intensifying now and Maeve hungrily brought her mouth down on Autumns devouring another long, slow kiss.

Maeve was certain she would explode from the heat that was coursing through her body as Autumn lapped up her tongue, moaning and grinding against her. Autumn gasped as Maeve pulled her tongue from her lips and placed her hands on her hips, lifting her gently and setting her on the edge of the tub, Autumns back braced by the wall. She slowly spread Autumns legs, running her hands up both of her thighs and eyeing her sweet, wet sex. Maintaining eye contact she ran her tongue up and down one leg while gently brushing her fingers across the other. Autumn let her head fall back slightly, resting on the wall. She reached down and ran her fingers through Maeve’s dark flowing locks and moaned continually.
